What General Pest Control Covers

Last updated: October 2026

General Pest Control may include inspection for common household pests, treatment of agreed areas, and practical recommendations to reduce pest activity. The written estimate or service record identifies the property, target pest, treatment method, included areas, and any follow-up visit.

Work outside that description is not included unless both sides approve a separate scope. Examples that may require a separate agreement include termite work, bed bug programs, wildlife removal, structural repairs, exclusion work, and treatment of areas that cannot be safely accessed.

Massachusetts Pest Solutions follows applicable pesticide labels under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act and Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act, M.G.L. c. 132B.

Applicator licensing and pesticide use are subject to 333 CMR 10 and 333 CMR 13. Rights-of-way work is governed by 333 CMR 11 and is not ordinary residential service.

Applicable hazardous waste rules under 310 CMR 30 are followed when regulated waste arises. Requirements may also come from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, or Boston Public Health Commission.

Setting, Changing, or Cancelling a Visit

Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another written channel confirmed by Massachusetts Pest Solutions. We will provide the scheduled date or arrival window and any preparation or access instructions that apply. Please make sure an adult can provide access when needed, secure pets as directed, and tell us about relevant access limits or safety concerns before the visit.

If you need to cancel or move an appointment, contact us as soon as possible and, where practical, at least one business day before the scheduled time. Any applicable cancellation charge must be disclosed before it is incurred; no charge is created by this paragraph alone.

We may reschedule for weather, safety, access problems, or operational reasons and will notify you when possible. If inspection shows that the requested work differs from the approved service, we will explain the proposed change and its price before proceeding. Added work requires your approval; declining it does not authorize us to perform it.

Estimates, Charges, and Payment

An estimate describes the work and price based on the information available when it is prepared. It may change if an inspection reveals different conditions, the requested area or target pest changes, or access and preparation differ from what was described.

Massachusetts Pest Solutions will explain a proposed price or scope change and obtain your approval before performing added work. An estimate is not an authorization for services that it does not describe.

Payment is due as stated in the accepted estimate, invoice, or service agreement. If those documents do not state a due date, payment is due upon completion of the visit.

We will identify accepted payment methods in the estimate or invoice; no particular method or financing offer is promised by these terms. Please raise billing questions promptly and include the invoice or service date so we can review the charge.

A disputed amount does not change the agreed price for undisputed work. Any collection or late-payment steps will follow applicable law and the terms disclosed to you.

What We Stand Behind After Service

Massachusetts Pest Solutions will perform approved work with reasonable care and in accordance with the service description, pesticide label directions, and applicable law. These terms do not create a separate warranty period, promise that pests will never return, or guarantee results beyond any written service-specific coverage provided with your estimate or agreement. If a written agreement includes follow-up service or other coverage, that document controls its duration, limits, and required steps.

Contact us promptly if pest activity continues after treatment. We may ask about the affected location, timing, preparation, and any changes since service, and may arrange an inspection where appropriate.

Coverage stated in a separate agreement may not apply if required preparation or access was not provided, treated areas were altered, conditions that attract pests remain, or another party applied products or performed work that affects the treatment. We will explain any applicable limits before charging for additional work. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

Responsibility for Service and Property Conditions

To the extent allowed by law, Massachusetts Pest Solutions is responsible for direct loss caused by its failure to perform the approved service with reasonable care. Where permitted, our liability for a claim tied to a particular service will not exceed the amount paid for that service.

This limit does not apply where the law prohibits it, including liability that cannot legally be limited. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, pest activity outside the treated area, or loss caused by inaccurate information, denied access, or failure to follow written preparation instructions, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Pesticides are applied only as permitted by their labels and applicable law, including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act, M.G.L. c. 132B, 333 CMR 10, and 333 CMR 13.

Rights-of-way rules under 333 CMR 11 apply only to relevant work; they do not define ordinary home service. Massachusetts hazardous waste requirements under 310 CMR 30 apply when regulated waste is involved.

Questions About These Terms

For questions about a service, estimate, invoice, or these terms, contact Massachusetts Pest Solutions at (877) 729-2528 or info@massachusettspestsolutions.top. Mail may be sent to Prudential Tower, 800 Boylston St, Boston, MA.

Please include your name, service address, and appointment or invoice date so we can direct your question to the right person. Do not email sensitive payment information.

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in services, operations, or legal requirements. Updated terms will be posted or otherwise provided, with a revised effective date when applicable.

Changes apply to future services after notice; the terms accepted for an existing service continue to govern that work unless you agree to a change or law requires otherwise. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted. These terms do not replace any written service-specific agreement or any rights provided by law.

Daniel Sullivan

Service Expert at Massachusetts Pest Solutions

I started in pest control working in Boston homes, where old brick foundations, triple-deckers, and shared walls often give ants and rodents more than one way inside. I built this company to give Massachusetts homeowners clear inspections and treatment plans shaped by the seasons and the buildings they live in.
